This is an email that has been circulating the internet for several years now. If you have not heard about it, here it is.
Just to let everyone know that this is not true, and it is an Urban Legend. The phone number now has a recording on it to tell everyone of the myth. I see this all the time searching the internet for "Roanoke Fire" and other search phrases. The Fire Department wishes that you do not forward this email as it is a hoax.

If a person with the screen-name of Monkeyman935 contacts you, do not reply.
DO not talk to this person; do not answer any of his/her instant Messages or e-mail.
Whoever this person may be, he/she is a suspect for murder in the death of 56 women (so far) contacted through the Internet.
Please send this to all the women on your buddy list and ask them to pass this on, as well. This screen-name was seen on Yahoo, AOL, AIM, and Excite so far.
This is not a joke! Please send this to men too...just in case! Send to everyone you know! Ladies, this is serious.

it's got a follow-up on myspace now, they've changed the screenname to jokerkid613/Ja$on MoNeY, thought you ought to know.
The Apps on myspace are all down so people have a lot more time on thier hands and search for something else to get into trouble with. I had many questions when I first read the warning so the following is what I send out when recieved things like this.
"If this was true don't you think it would be on the News? Even Jeffery Dalmer, Son of Sam, DC Sniper, Ted Bundy, Green River Killer, Hillside Strangler were arrested and charged for doing less.
The address and phone numbers do belong to the Roanoke FIRE Dept. Think about it Why would this warning be coming from the Fire Department and not from the Police?? Why isn't it coming from your Police Dept???
But even if this is true, No one should be meeting with those they DO NOT KNOW. Never in private! and never by yourself! always stay with your friend! Friends you know and never leave them to take off with this stranger.
Please contact your Local Law Enforcement Agency to substatiate any rumors you hear or read on the internet. For if you believe all of them then send me you bank account number because I need to hide 3 millon dollars and will give you a 25 percent fee for doing so.
Only you are responcible for your safety Too many people are out there to only cause trouble Did you know that there has NEVER been a substaitated report of a child biting into an Apple with Razor blades given to them for Halloween. That and other items were passed around until people took them for the gospel true!"
