Roanoke Fire Alarm Boxes
Travis Collins has begun the task of documenting each Fire Alarm Box in Roanoke City. He has sent me what he has so far, and I will update the listing as he sends them to me. Are these ACTUALLY pull boxes on the streets still in service? If so this is so cool.
Actually these boxes are not in service anymore. As far as I know there are only the boxes located at the Fire Stations which are still in service. I am sure that I will hear of a few here and there still in service. I have not heard a box alarm go out in several years.
